New Enrollment & Update
For any new enrollment, the following are the required documents:
- Birth Certificate (Digital) for children below the age of 5
- Domicile Certificate for children above the age of 5
- Children below the age of 5 can only be enrolled using their Parents Aadhaar and Fingerprint.
- The Address on the Birth Certificate is not relevant. The child’s address shall be exactly as per the parent who provided his/her fingerprint
- eg. A child has a Birth Certificate issued in Delhi with Imphal address while his parents Aadhaar Address is in Bishnupur, the child’s Aadhaar address cannot be entered as per the Birth Certificate. It will be as per his/her parents’ Aadhaar Address i.e. Bishnupur.
Aadhaar Mandatory Biometric Update
Children who got Aadhaar before the age of 5 must update their biometrics:
- Once after turning 5 years old.
- Again after turning 15 years old.
College students (over 15 years) must get their biometric updated if not already done.

Personal Mobile Number Update
Everyone should update their personal mobile number with Aadhaar.
Key Benefits:
- Receive OTPs directly—no more depending on someone else’s number.
- Mandatory for registering and using DigiLocker.
- Ease of any eKYC process.
DOB Change, Name Change, Father’s Name Change/Address Change/Update
For these types of updates, valid document proof is needed.
Documents may include:
- Digital Domicile Certificate for Name Change and Address Change/update
- Digital Birth Certificate for Date of Birth Change
